September in Paris! One of the world's great cities, with an extraordinary richness of art, history, and culture. Everywhere you look, it is simply beautiful. There is nowhere quite like Paris.

This is a wonderful time of year to explore its charming neighborhoods, magnificent architecture, lively markets, and the everyday life that makes Paris so endlessly fascinating.

But what makes this workshop utterly unique is the special access we will have to people, places, and experiences that most visitors to Paris would never encounter.

Paris has always held a special place in my heart. I've lived, worked, and photographed here since I was seventeen, and I am thrilled to have created a workshop that goes beyond the familiar Paris to reveal the city's extraordinary character, authenticity, and diversity.

As with all my workshops, we will spend time with fascinating people in their own worlds, including a visit to the home-studio of an acclaimed Vietnamese-French artist; a vibrant, amusing gathering with a traditional French food Confrérie in their splendid robes and sashes; and other several unusual encounters arranged especially for this workshop.

There will also be a private boat ride - in a classy wooden Riva - along the Seine; the wonderful Fête de Paris, including backstage before the parade; and opportunities to photograph some of the city's most beautiful and intimate corners.

We will stay at the Victoria Palace Hotel, a luxury hotel in my favorite Paris neighborhood, right in the heart of the 6th arrondissement, surrounded by lively cafés, restaurants, and chic boutiques. We will eat exceptionally well and enjoy twelve full days of photography and learning, with instruction in the field, group reviews, and private one-on-one critiques.
