PHOTO CONSULTATIONS

Photo consultations are a great way to stay creative, learn something new and take time to reflect. Whether you use a smart phone, photography is your hobby, or you are a serious shooter, perhaps you need to understand something deeper about your photography.

These consultations are for anyone at any level, worldwide.

SUGGESTIONS FOR DISCUSSIONS

1. Creating a book? I have been a Photo Editor on many books, and can help you narrow down images, with the goal of strong layouts, and good design.

2. There are no rules. How can you better "see" your own images, and decide which ones are strong and "work", and which don't work, and why? Learn what gives a photograph "staying power".

3. How can you make your photos simply more interesting? Composition, settings, moment, gesture, edges, corners, how your eye moves through the frame - it’s all fascinating.

4. You feel like you are in a rut and want to get motivated. We'll talk about the emotions involved in the creative process.

5. Editing/choosing/selecting: out of a sequence, which is best, why, how to choose. How does one even go about editing/selecting?

6. How do you create a strong photo essay/collection - how do you tell a story with your images?

7. Creating a lively and entertaining presentation for a live or Zoom audience is something I can teach you - through what you show and, as importantly, what you say.

PHOTO EDITING/SELECTING - For Your Books, Exhibitions, and Projects

Do you have photos that need to be organized and narrowed down? In my career, I have edited/selected thousands of images; I love doing this and I am fast and good.
