PHOTO CONSULTATIONS & EDITING/SELECTING
PHOTO CONSULTATIONS
Photo consultations are a great way to stay creative, learn something new and take time to reflect. Whether you use a smart phone, photography is your hobby, or you are a serious shooter, perhaps you need to understand something deeper about your photography.
These consultations are for anyone at any level, worldwide.
SUGGESTIONS FOR DISCUSSIONS
1. Creating a book? I have been a Photo Editor on many books, and can help you narrow down images, with the goal of strong layouts, and good design.
2. How to better "see" your own images, and decide which ones are strong and "work", and which don't work, and why. What gives a photograph "staying power" and why the rules don’t matter.
3. How to make your photos simply more interesting. Not just getting lucky. Composition, settings, moment, gesture, edges, corners, how your eye moves through the frame.
4. Getting out of a rut, and getting motivated. We'll talk about the emotions involved in the creative process.
5. Editing/choosing/selecting: out of a sequence, which is best, why, how to choose. How does one even go about editing/selecting?
6. How to create a strong photo essay/collection - how to tell a story with your images.
7. How to create a lively and entertaining presentation for a live or Zoom audience - through what you show and, as importantly, what you say.
